These Streets We Haunt is a sci-fi mystery written and directed by Jason Cunningham. The film centers around Marcus (Matt), an artist who’s lost his zeal for life, and rents out his spare room to a young woman he begins to suspect is a comic book villain.
Almost one year ago, Matt appeared on Bonsai Creative’s MAKE IT Podcast. On his second appearance, Matt chat about why creative work dries-up and what to do about it, what makes for the rawest art, and why Method acting doesn’t work for him.
The video for Jackie Castro‘s sophomore release, Romanticize, is as fun as the pop song itself. Inspired by mid-century classic films such as Singing’ In The Rain and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the video — directed by Sean Hagwell — features Jackie in period attire imagining picturesque scenarios with a love interest, played by Matt.

These Streets We Haunt, the debut feature film of writer/director Jason Cunningham, has wrapped and entered post production. Though a date has yet to be announced, the production company, Omada Films, is planning to release the sci-fi thriller in 2020.

Bring You Back was shot a while ago; so glad it’s finally out! I tend to stay away from acting in music videos. Frankly, they just aren’t that fun, and tend not to involve a lot of actual acting. But every once I’ll get a breakdown that is just good. This was one of those times.
It was an added bonus that everyone involved was incredible to work with. Jacob Bryant was a great dude, kind enough to entrust us with this material. The director, Dustin Haney, is a super talent. And it was a rare privilege to act alongside the incredibly sweet, talented, beautiful Crystal Day.
I love being in front of an audience. I love to talk. I love film. If you put me in front of an audience to talk about film… bliss. That’s exactly what’s happening in April at the Mountain Tales Film Festival! I’ll be joined by Lauren Perez (my beautiful, talented co-star of These Streets We Haunt) and Jerome Lister to talk about all things acting, especially getting and maintaining a foothold in the industry.
Last year, Matt was involved with two feature films, and both will be appearing in the 2018 Nashville film festival! Other Versions Of You, a Motke Dapp film about love and parallel universes, will be making its world premiere; and Strategy And Pursuit, an ensemble thriller focusing on the lives, loves and losses of six people over one weekend in the country, will make its Southeast US premiere.
